Delmar DustPan: A Day In The Garden
I created this blog so I could continue to provide a place where people could discuss educational issues freely.
My name is Kim Williams and I am a parent with two children in a Red Clay school and I was elected to the Red Clay School Board this year. I started a blog called Fix Red Clay about 1 1/2 years ago with another parent, Anne O'Malia. Anne decided it was time to move on and I wanted to continue, so I started Red Clay Now.
I hope you will continue to visit this site. I welcome any ideas or suggestions.
You can email me at redclaynow@comcast.net.

What does RTTT mean? Instead of trying to preserve our schools, we are in essence destroying them. In California, no money means 23,000 less teachers. The school system out there is already horrific. What will it be now? Again it is always about money. Never about the children. Where do they get these slogans NCLB and RTTT when schools, teachers, and parents know they can never be implemented. The only ones that don't seem to get it is our government!!!!!!!!!!!
Any breakdown on number of district staff getting pink slips, it appears that they are.
this will really help the education dilema in america... wonderful.
very disappointed to see Merv with the RTTT team in DC today, very.
NCLB= No Child Left Behind--Bush's education disaster.
RTTT =Race to the Top--Obama's education disaster
they think a cool catch phrase will solve the problem
Having Merv on that team may turn out to be a godsend. Don't knock it yet.
