Boiling Mad Parent is now a Happy Camper. All those comments yesterday about these issues being none of our business, guess what I think you were wrong. Needless to say, the right outcome happened. I think Meney realized there would be more investigating, so he is getting out while the gettin's good. As far as the rag paper you call the News Journal, I guess it is because it exposed things in Colonial that have been hidden for a long time. Kudos to the Journal. A paper is to inform the public which they did. There is transparency in the Journal which is more than we can say about the tactics of Colonial. I don't know Linn, but I sure hope Colonial benefits from her. We will have to see. Meney wasn't so arrogant last night because he got caught. Colonial seems to think the residents should only pay taxes which pays their salaries and keep our mouths shut. Well guess what, it didn't work this time, and I hope not in the future. We have rights also!

Great points. It's so exciting to see the Journal force transparency, which is exactly the role of a good paper. Maybe it's time to enlist them to help with some of the Choice/Charter abuse issues some of us have been complaining about.

It is amazing to see NJ and transparency in the same sentence. This periodical encourages transparency when it suits them.

Baba How did this article about Meney benefit the News Journal? Obviously it was of great help to the taxpayers and parents of not only Colonial but all school districts. It certainly served it's purpose in providing people with information that they were completely unaware of. As we all know from the News Journal today (front page), the meeting last night brought Colonial to it's knees. This is what transparency is all about. So as you can see transparency and the News Journal can be said in the same sentence.
