What school do you represent? Jea Street says that there are several public schools in Colonial and Christina that have been failing for a few years running and they are not being held accountable. In fact, Christina is Lowery and Cruce's legacy of failure.

I am trying to get to the bottom of the statements from both sides of the argument.

From what I have seen so far I support a reversal of the decision.

We are not given a second chance. We have plenty of disadvantaged students in my school and no one gives us a break on our accountability. Kids living in poverty may have a very hard time in school. We are all struggling with this. Maybe Moyer could be a turn-around school like the rest of us.

The school districts have failed these kids. They have not shown that they could do any better than the Moyer Academy did. Why not give them a second or even third chance?

We always here from administrators and educators that disadvantaged students are hard to turn around. If this is true, then should we be surprised that Moyer Academy can't get them up to the average test scores?
